Windows 10 wont output Dolby Digital

ProKoN

So I have installed win 10 on my mediaserver. Everything works fairly well except one thing.

My HD movies wont output dolby digital \ dts to my home theater receiver via optical digital output.

i have the latest sound drivers installed. using on board sound realtek alc 1150.

I have treid both ,MKV files and blu ray movies.

I have tried VLC and PowerDVD11 without any luck. When I select the optical output \ sPdif  as the default sound device I get no sound at all.

seems to be an issue with win 10. if i cant get it sorted im going back to win 7

after a quick google i realize others have had the same issue.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Contact the manufacture of your sound card/chip for Windows 10 drivers, or newer drivers that has the problem fixed.
