Windows 10 Install or Upgrade?

pretty sure you should do a fresh install i have not upgraded but i have heard there can be problems when upgrading from a lower version of windows

Should I upgrade to Windows 10 or should I perform a fresh install?

If you're on win 7 you have to upgrade, and then do a fresh install. 

The upgrade makes your win 7 license key into a win 10 key, and then you can make a fresh install.

 

This. I went from 7 to clean installing Windows 10 to having my 7 key not working. So I had to clean install 7, upgrade to 10, then clean install 10.... it was a fun process -_- lmfao. Just upgrade to Windows 10, get a program to grab the Product Key and then clean install and use that key.

Microsoft states that if you want Windows 10 for free, and activates you need to upgrade first.

Once you upgrade, you can clean install.

You should make a sticky on this.... but I digress you will still have to answer the question anyways.

Have a programmed button on your keyboard that will paste that answer with a link to the sticky I bet you will use it no less than 3 times a day.  B)
