ok thanks! how good is it at video editing?

The surface pro 3 is terrible for video editing. The laptop has a dedicated gpu for better editing. What programs will you be using for editing?

Desktop 1: CPU: Intel Core i7 4770  GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 Ram: Crucial DDR3 2x8GB 1600 MHz  Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB and Segate 1TB Hard drive  Desktop 2: CPU: Intel Pentium G3258  GPU: AMD R7 250  Ram: Corsair Vengance DRR3 2x8GB 1600 MHz  Mobo: MSI H81M-E33  PSU: Corsair CX430M  Case: Rosewill MicroAtx Mini Tower

nothing much basicly WoT and that is it.

Although I'm not sure how demanding WoT will be of a MacBook, I'm not going to recommend one on this occasion for obvious cooling reasons.

My late 2011 i5 MacBook can handle TF2 absolutely fine, the only issue with it being temps; on a flat surface it reaches like 95 degrees Celsius.

My suggestion:

And you have a surface and can confirm it's bad for editing?

Well no, but on the gpu side it is lacking. Maybe the next gen will have better integrated graphics.

You should try war thunder. It's pretty fun.

ok but is it good for video editing?

Put it this way, I edited 10 films of 5 minutes each in 5 days on this thing It has never let me down.

You could yet more power for the money and you can get a bigger screen for the money but the Surface does everything that you need it to and I really don't have a hard time recommending it

The only other laptop could recommend so highly is the Macbook air 13"

If you do not get the surface get that
