Should I gift this computer to my friend?

Due to my friend has a SUPER OLD computer, I decided to gift this computer. But I'm not sure if this is a good one. He has a Pentium 4 and 3GB of ram!!!!

Pentium G3258

Hyper 212 Evo

Z97 PC Mate

8GB of Kingston HyperX Fury

1TB of Seagate Barracuda

Some cheap 120GB of SSD

XFX R9 280X

Spec 01

Some cheap 600W of PSU

I would probably say go for a cheaper motherboard and an i3 4160.

I mean, if you have another computer of your own that is better than that then yes if you don't mind... But even I wouldn't gift a computer to one of my friends even if they had an old computer... but hey, that's just me.

defenitly go for the i3-4160/4170 and a cheaper mobo , also then you dont need the 212 evo so spend that money on a better psu from evga or seasonic IMO

maybe if his parents dont let him buy a gaming pc (like me  :( even when i took a job for 6 weeks) , you could send him some parts so his forced to buy one

I mean.... at least Corsair CX series.... that's the minimum. I'll rather go with EVGA or something else

He planned to buy a Dell Inspiron with a i7-4790 but SHIT GPU

So I give him a tip to change it to EITHER GTX 970 or R9 280X

I actually have one of the best P4 PGA 478 CPU and it came from a laptop.

Is it a PGA 478 P4 or a LGA 775 P4?
