Does any one have the same problem as mine and have a solution for this. I tried putting the gpu on full load but the fan just won't kick in, ive also tried using third party fan controller software HWiNFO64. They just won't turn on. I know it is not the power bringing to the fan or the connector's problem it is some sorta of a software issue.

it didn't died because i swapped the cpu and gpu fan around and it worked. I can't keep it like that because the fans are not the same size and the fan cooling the cpu before wouldn't spin too on the gpu side. Also on bootup ive noticed that both fans speed for a couple revolution then the gpu fan stops completely

The problem is with the power delivery system on card (which may mean MUCH larger problems). I'd unplug it from your gpu, put a new end on it and plug it directly into your mobo, otherwise get a new GPU.

The fan is probably broken. That can be replaced. Dell/Alienware offers full service manuals on their sites to dissemble the system completely and back up, and all arranged in a way that cover what you trying to replace.

If the system is under warranty, I would highly suggest to contact Dell for them to do the replacement. I see that Alienware have Dell's onsite service (at least in Canada). That means a trained Dell technician will come at your place, at the time you want, the next business day to fix your system in front of you. Before he leaves, you can test your system, make sure the problem is solved, also make sure that the work is done properly, and you always have the system. There is no extra cost to this service. :) Yes, I tried this service before, it was amazing!

If it out of warranty (honestly, 3 year warranty on any portable device should be standard. I always get it. Always used it at least once during those 3 years, any brands), you can contact Dell for parts. Just hope that it is the fan broken, and not the motherboard (temp sensor on it), as that would cost nearly the price of the entire system, due to the soldered on GPU, and possibly the CPU as well.

like i said the fan is not broken and its out of warranty, honestly if your buying a alienware you should know how to mess around with the hardware, its cheaper to just buy the parts and do it yourself. also out of 1 year standard warranty

Well if you say that the fan never ever spins, then the fan is most likely what is broken.

I...wait what?:

Did you just answered your own question with a criticizing point on yourself?
