ACX ot reference 780?

I am building a system with a gtx 780 inside a fractal design r4. Should i go for the standard gtx 780 or the one from EVGA with ACX cooler.

And what do you think about the windowed version of the r4?

The EVGA card is going to perform slightly better due to its cooling, so I'd go for that one.

 

The R4 is a nice simple case.

Ncix does not have the asus directCu version, and newegg does not ship to europe(do they?).

I have had the EVGA GTX 780 ACX (SC) for a few days now and I have to say it runs pretty cool, even with a 100MHz overclock.

 

Running EVGA OC Scanner, it it still really quiet and the temps don't really go above 70 degrees.

All open air coolers will be about the same the 7xx has very good reference cooling any Zotac, Acx, Direct CU, all will get around the same cooling I believe direct cu is a bit cooler than the rest but all will oc very similar to each-other .

still, the ASUS has a better features set, and I really am a strong advocate of it compared to the classified, considering no one but EVGA (OEM Swiftech) will make the waterblock for it :(

ACX, GPU Boost 2.0 would work better if the card runs cooler. I know from personal experience that the ACX runs a lot cooler then the reference design.

I would go with the ACX cooler since it will run cooler and quieter and you would be able to overclock it.

not currently officially out for 780 but is on the 770 and 760 it's basically vapor-x I think it comes out this month.

Na it's the only cooler they make that's not reference it doesn't have a special name.
