Hi, i currently have windows 10 (retail copy) on a hard drive, i want to move it to a ssd on my new gaming machine, what will happen if i use the same product key for the second computer

You need to call up microsoft to sort this out. You need to explain your situation to them and they will help you.

You should be fine, I moved my SSD to my new rig and there were no issues with activation, however sometimes it won't activate and you have to call Microsoft and beg them with a sob story to transfer the license to the new PC. Something like 'My poor little PC died and I was forced to buy a new one' or something.
