Linux Mint doesn't recognise my wireless card.

You're going to have to provide some more details. What wireless card? What laptop? What have you tried to diagnose/fix the issue?

It is a desktop, and I don't know the details, I am at school, like I said. :/

Go into the command line and type "ifconfig wlan0". See if it says whether a device is on the interface or not

WiFi - 7ms, 22Mb down, 10Mb up

Are you running a Mint LiveCD?

I don't think so. I am new to Linux and I installed it. I also installed Ubuntu but that didn't recognise my wifi card either. :/ Maybe it is an ubuntu based OS problem?

Maybe your drivers?

It should be in "Additional Driver" or whatever it's called (I'm using Ubuntu sorry, but I'm trying).

generally the really shady wireless stuff like the wifi cards medion uses are REALLY fken iffy, and are a 50/50 shot if they work or not.

I know that Realtek and Broadcom cards have flaky support in most distros, the only solid ones from personal experience are Atheros and Ralink. If you know where the system log file is (usually /var/log) go there and open a file called kernel.log(or kern.log), look around and see if you can see anything that sounds like the name of a wifi card. It'll most likely be somewhere near the top.

Ah, Realtek rings a bell. Not sure if that is what it is, but it very well could be.
