Without spoilers, what are the main differences between director's and final?

Well, they're the same content wise, but the final cut has some technical "improvements", but I prefer the older version (final was 2007, director's was 1992).

The Director's cut changes some things (can't go into detail without spoilers) and adds in some different scenes and changes some slightly. The "original" version is similar to the director's cut, but it was never released in theatres, and voiceovers were added and the original ending changed for the theatre release.

So looking into it a bit, I see that the DC came out in '92 and the FC came out in '07, so I'm more compelled to see the DC unless there's a good reason to see the FC first?

Content is the same. FC "fixed" a few things technically, but I think it takes away from the film. Still good though.

I'm looking at torrents

(Yes I'm torrenting this, I wanna watch it now at 3am)

Anyway I find the Final Cut Everywhere, but not really the director's cut. Is it just not as popular?

I found it on instant video for 13.99, is it worth spending that much for the DC over just torrenting the final cut now? (And honestly not likely buying it unless I really liked it?)

(Cause if I'm gonna buy a moive, I'd rather buy a disc)

Final cut. I've seen all the versions through the years and that seems the best of them all. Director's Cut is also a good one, if you can't find the final cut

Though i'm trying to avoid kreading too much on it, because I've seen very little of this movie years ago, and I know literally nothing about it, and I think it will be fun to be completely surprised

If you can't find the DC, then the FC is just fine. Some prefer it.

I've seen DC and FC. FC is what Ridley Scott wanted.

I think I'll watch the FC out of convenience (and since others suggested it ) and see if I can't find the DC later around town if I'm interested in watching other versions of it (though to me the theatrical release would be the most interesting differences wise)

The star wars remasters are are George Lucas wanted....

(Though I get what you are saying)

Funnily enough, I've never seen any Star Wars. Besides a few scenes from one of the original trilogy.

He made like needlesss edits. There's the famous han shot first and all, but like needless censoring and whatnot...it's really...odd like I'm not even a star wars fan and I'm just like...why?

I believe so. I dont' exactly know how many versions there are, but given the hate for the "remasters" (in...2004?) there should be no problem finding high quality versions of the originals.

I've never watched two star wars movies in the same...month.....but I think I'm going to marathon them (including the prequals...yes cringe) before I go see the new one when it premiers.

Me and my friends did the same with LoTR. I'm just really far behind in this nerd stuff xD.

Gonna watch it tonight or tomorrow.

Yah 2015. Finally

(I don't' often watch movies, so there's a LOT I have not seen)

Anyway which 'cut' should I watch first?

Same.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)
