How long do I need to stress test a cpu to see if it has a stable overclock?

I typically put it on when I go to sleep, and then If its still running when I wake up I let it keep going while I'm out/working.  But I'd say If its still running after you sleep its probably pretty stable.

I usually bench for 24 hours or so. The software has changed these days though/ Now a days a few hours should be ok 5-6. It's really personally preference.

Depends how patient you are. Standard of 24hrs, longer for absolutely critical machines, shorter for the average user, and for me none at all and try to use blender on it for awhile without crashing.

My machine is on 24/7 + on battery backup. So if i recall i did a 24-hour over clock since my machine is always on.
