R9 290 Crossfire Setup HELP!

Hey guys,

 

So I've recently tried going to a crossfire setup with 2 R9 290 cards. After setting up both cards, the computer does post and run, but I can't see the crossfire option on Catalyst Control Center. Please help!

 

 

Here are my specs:

 

CPU: Intel i7 2600K OCed to 4.3ghz

GPU1: MSI R9 290 4g Gaming (watercooled with a corsair H50+ nzxt kraken g10)

GPU 2: Gigabyte R9 290 4g Windforce OC

MOBO: Asus P8P67 PRO

RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengance DDR3 1600Mhz

PSU: Rosewill Capstone G1000 1000W 80plus Gold

did you run the new card by itself to see if its even working properly

Did you re-install the drivers when the new card was installed? if not you have to, it doesnt automatically installs the drivers even when they are already there.

Yes I did. Still nothing. The second card's fans are spinning. I just can't see the card anywhere. not even on device manager

This is what I have done so far (in order):

 

Taken off the second card

Uninstalled AMD Drivers using control panel then Driver Uninstaller

restarted PC

Reinstalled AMD Drivers

Shut down PC

placed the second card in the slot

Powered up PC again

 

Still nothing :(

See if your motherboard`s bios is up to date D:!

I will check!

 

NEW UPDATE: 

 

The display keeps turning off but the tower still keeps running. I took off the second card.
