I am building a new pc and I am ever going for one of those motherboards which one should I go for?

What I can see, the Asus probably has better overclocking features.

The MSI has 3 PCIE 3.0 and Asus has 2 PCIE 3.0.

Honestly, as youre not gonna do much overclocking as it seems like, I would go for the MSI, cheaper, and I think it's just as great if not better in my eyes.

the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 is all you need and should be significantly cheaper than the ASUS motherboard...so my vote goes to the MSI board.

If you want a black/red theme, maximus vii hero. If you don't, MSi Z97 Gaming 5. I have the maximus vii hero, I like it, has pretty good oc features
