AMD auto detect detecting wrong graphics card

My Graphics card is a R9 280 but dispite that the Auto detect and windows believes it is a HD 7900 Series.

Will this fix it when i reinstall the drivers?

and I know that the HD 7950 is the same as a R9 280, and is that a bad thing? is there something wrong with my GPU or OS?

It only started to do this when I installed windows 10.

drivers are same and R9 280 = 7950.

its normal, any 7950 or 7970 would be recognized as 7900series wether it be a 10-20-30 or 50-70 ( 10-30 just example ), thats just how amd does it ( and its bad detection really )... cant hurt really .. unless ur having horrible performance from it  ( highly doubt it )

 

dont use autodetect stuff... download ur drivers manually really

They use the same drivers, afaik. Same shows up for me in some benchmarking software (270X, showing up as some 7k series card I can't remember specifically which one)

it was a rebrand. so its the same card either way
