Just out of curiosity why would we have a thread locked that uses and eBay link that is from an actual dealer?

It was for an SSD being sold by Newegg, but through their eBay account. Now I understand that we don't want people being drawn to sales of items with quantities of one or have people getting scammed, but when its by an actual dealer that we all know and probably use I think it deserves a pass.

What do you guys think? I know these things have been able to slide before, so why lock this one out of all the others?

Ebay links aren't allowed in the hot deals section.

Mods are not lenient.

they've always been allowed from stores like newegg. Ebay links are not allowed because it's sometime's shady and opens up advertising your own crap .

I've never seen them lock a newegg or other similar ebay link

.
