Motherboard shopping

Hey guys, I hope you're all well.

So my Msi z87 g41-mate dying 2 days ago and I've been shopping for a motherboard since. My cpu is the g3258, and yes of course I want to overclock the thing. I know that the z97 platform has official support for overclocking, but I want to know if someone in the great LTT comuniy has had a good overclock on a lower end board.
