I've heard that the main benefit of DDR4 over DDR3 is used when the DDR4 is at higher clock speeds. A 1600 mhz DDR4 stick will be slower than a 1600 mhz DDR3 stick.

You can't get DDR4 at 1600. It starts at 2133, which is already fine for most uses.

Yup the gains are minimal, but they are there.

$20 isn't that big of a deal, 3000Mhz is more future proof IMO.

Casual people don't change RAM much, this is probably the only kit you'll buy on DDR4, till something new comes around.

Plus if you ever decide to sell your stuff in the future, you'll get basically nothing for 2400Mhz RAM. In 1 more year, they'll probably stop making that stuff.

Its all your decision though.

Yeah I didn't think it give anymore fps. Until system requirements start requesting speed RAM thats when I'll get 3000mhz

 Buying a more expensive kit, from a brand you trust/know (Corsair in this case) can be very much worth the money if you have to do a return or something.  Sometimes you get what you pay for is all I'm saying.

Clocks are pretty much directly comparable between DDR3 and DDR4. Latencies have to be taken into account too though, and there are some differences there.
