8.1 key after upgrading to windows 10

Would my windows 8.1 installation disc still work even though I have upgraded it to windows 10

No, this is false. AFAIK, the Windows key is converted once you upgrade. The Windows key you had is no longer valid

thought that you can upgrade to windows 10, and if you don't like it, reinstall windows 8.1 and use the key that you got when you bought the os

 

but you cannot buy only one license and have 2 genuine activated os;s on 2 separate machinse

No, if you choose to revert after an UPGRADE, it will make your old key valid and your new one invalid

Your 8.1 key is now a 10 key.

Not exactly- 8.1 key is converted to a NEW key for 10.

English is not my maternal language, so don't mind my mistakes...
