You are plenty fine. What PSU are you using? And have you already built this system?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

My PC may be 4 years old now (specs in profile), but power wise our systems aren't that drastic and I'm still using the emergency over night Corsair 430w PSU I had to order when my Fractal PSU up and died on me! If my 430w PSU can handle an overclocked Sandy Bridge system, you're fine with a 500w unit.

I am looking at the 500w EVGA 500 W1 80+, will this do? Or get CORSAIR CX series CX600M.

I'd get something of better quality. Neither of those is particularly good. Can you get a locked i5 and mobo without overclocking to get a better quality PSU?

I dont know. If power my rig as of now with either of those PSU, will anything bad happen? They are both 80+ Bronze Certified.

the corsair CX series is kinda controversial, for me if there are many people disliking a product as important as a PSU i stay away from it, the EVGA one is only 80+ and, it's VERY budget oriented, i mean, APU and pentium or celeron builds, not an unlocked i5, also, your mobo can't overclock, so if you haven't bought it, get an z97 chipset board.

I recomend this motherboard over the one you picked, not THAT much more expensive and it will let you overclock, which is more important

Will the Z97 PRO4 LGA 1150 ATX overclock, I can get it for 75 with rebates.

I suggest you just buy a locked i5 and save money on the mobo as well.

yeah, but im not a big fan of AsRock, i prefer Asus, with either gigabyte or MSI as second options, but it's up to you, it can totally overclock, just...i would rather pay a few extra bucks and get something from any of the previous brands i mentioned

BUT HE SHOULDN'T BE OVERCLOCKING ON A BAD PSU AND HE COULD SAVE SO MUCH MONEY AND NEVER NOTICE A PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE
