Best graphics solution for $1000

I plan to be playing triple-A titles on 5760x1080p resolutions.

 

I am planning on getting two 4GB ASUS 770s for SLI (i will be overclocking), i had a chance to play around with dual 770s and they perform very well.

 

What other solutions (if any) should i consider in that price range?

That's actually a really good choice, the 4GB of VRM will help with the multi monitor setup. You could go dual 7950 but you'll lose 1GB of VRM.

TITAN is the best. Yes it may get beat by two 770s. But TITAN has all that power available to it at all times. While SLI based rigs need to have SLI optimized games to take advantage of the power. If you happen to play a game that doesn't like SLI, your TITAN beating performance will be gone, and you'll rely on only one GPU.

dual gpu on one card with a wide memory bus. AMD does pretty darn well at high res

AAA titles may support SLI. But people have been having issues with SLI in BF3, which is AAA.

Yes, but anything slightly more powerful than it will struggle a bit as well.

well i am upgrading from dual 660tis and battlefield is my most played, and i have never had a problem, but irregardless.

It appears to be with the 700 series cards. Maybe you won't be affected.

well what, do you expect me to get a 2gb version? even if it cannot utilize all of the memory (which i doubt), it can still utilize enough to make it worth it.

 

edit: besides, i am probably going to upgrade to 3xSLI eventually.

It wouldn't be worth the extra price at all; you'd get less than 3gb (around 2.4-2.6 depending on the OC you get on your memory clock).

The SLI 4GB GTX 770s will probably give you the best performance for $1000 for now except maybe 3 7970s which would probably take a lot more power and run hotter

It's not THAT much faster than the 680, feel free to get the 770s but when you run into VRAM issues you'll know what you should have done ;)
