Hearthstone (The Grand Tournament)

I just pre order the 50 card pack and now i can't wait until they allow them to be open.Are there alot of hearthstone player in ltt ? And if you play hearthstone what are your though on the reaveal cards so far ? I'm liking the new expansion  since they are pushing the game toward a slower meta which i'm super happy for since gvg give alot of good card for aggro deck. The first two week of gvg for me was super boring since the only 2 class being played was mage (mech mage) and hunter(especially the undertaker aggro hunter before they got nerf).I'm a ok-ish hearthstone player the highest i ever got in rank play was rank 4 and i have only gotten 12 wins arena twice but i would love to play with you guys when the new expansion roll out.

My favorite cards  so far are Justicar Trueheart and Eadric the pure.

Based on the cards that have been revealed, should I continue getting classic packs or save up for the upcoming cards?

It depend on what deck you want to play.Most card that are good so far from the new expansion is quite expensive(mostly epic and legendary). Going for classic pack is better i think for new player

If you save up alot of gold then yes buying pack with real money doesn't make sense. I just don't have the patience for that stuff good for you though.

You should just play alot of arena. You will improve your skill and gain gold + pack. Opening pack is just pure luck most of the legendary i have are crafted.

I did that for a while. Only problem is that arena only gives out gvg packs for rewards.

It's pretty good, i used to play it alot but it's need to draw well in order to do well like most of the combo deck. Having double prep in hand and no sprint make me lose my love in the deck pretty fast

It's really my first real competitive deck, so I'm pretty happy just not being owned every game. Before this, most of my decks were just kinda random without much synergy.

 

Would you suggest running 2 Violet Teachers and 1 Piloted Shredder or vice versa?

I like running 2 shredder since it's a sticky minion and work well with tinker oil. Violet teacher weird rng with tinker oil make me like it less and also it's weak vs patron warrior.

I opened up a golden Malorne recently and was wondering if there are any cards worth dusting Malorne for. The legendaries that I currently have are: Malrone, Cenarius, Tirion Fordring, Bloodmage Thalnos, Old Eye Murk, Hogger, Dr. Boom, Gruul, and Nozdormu. I was thinking of either Sylvanas, Ragnaros, Yzera, or perhaps wait until the new set is out to decide.

Get Sylvanas she is just one of the best minion in the game and she can fit into almost every deck.

Varian Wrynn seem super strong. If you draw into rag,ysera, sylvanas then you just won the game most of the time.

I love HS but for some reason I can't get past level 20. I have been playing almost everyday for 2 years yet win one game loose 2 win 3 loose 4. I have watched videos and stuff and I am still bad. It is still really fun though

Honestly TGT is shaking up the meta more than I expected, at least right now. This is the first time in over a month I've bothered to play several hours. The archetypes that seem the most strong to me in this meta are: Tempo Mage, Token Druid and Dragon Priest. Zoo and Midrange Paladin are likely very strong, but I am not seeing much of them. Taunt Warrior seems really weak and Midrange Shaman doesn't do well against Tempo Mage or Dragon Priest in my experience. The biggest shock for me is how much I overestimated the strength of Varian Wrynn, if you play Varian in an aggro matchup, you die and in a control matchup you overextend into board clears. There is just so much diversity, I never know what I will matchup with, although Tempo Mage is fairly common.

 

overall I'm very happy with the expansion so far and I will be even more happy when patron gets nerfed in 2-ish months.

It's not that hard. You should play simple deck first like zoo. Play your card on curve, trade well and you will win most of the times.

I've only opened 1 pack so far and got an epic and a rare so I was pretty happy. I don't really play hunter so I'm not sure how useful Stablemaster will be.
