IN GAME LAG. PLS HELP

hey people,

my pc specs as follows

intel pentium g2030 dual core @3.00 ghz

intel DH61BF motherboard

6 gb ddr3ram

gigabyte gigabyte r7 260x oc graphics card

Seagate 7200 rpm 500gb hard drive

and lastly a chinese branded(zero power)500w very old psu.with 6 pin

this the thing. after i upgraded my gpu to r7 260x i am getting constant lags in gaming.at first i thought it as over heating issues.so i removed everyhing from the case and ran few tsets. with 100% cpu and gpu load for hours but. it was normal.then i re intalled my drivers and it was working fine as well but some times i get MD DRIVER HAS STOPPED WORKING BUT SUCCESSFULLY RECOVERED MESSAGE.and my last worry is y psu. can it be my psu not pushing enough watts to power my gpu,can it be a reason to lag in gaming.

and lastly what cpu voltages should i have in my cpu.

THANKS REPLY SOON!!! :)  :)

Well first off the system isn't what you'd call fast. Second, drop that PSU like a hot potato.

The PSU would seem like the weak link in the system to me too. I wouldn't be surprised if it simply can't supply enough current to the video card under heavy load. Buying a good quality PSU is always a sound investment - not only should it (hopefully) fix your gaming issues, but remember that a low quality PSU has the potential to take out other components if it fails spectacularly. Take a look here to get a good idea of the quality of different PSU brands and lines. If you can afford it, get something from the "Tier Two Class A" section.
