I would say no. Back when I had a 2 Mb/s internet speed I could barely play 480p without buffering. So i'd imagine 1080p wouldn't be possible without insane buffering times.

This is based off you saying you actually get around 800Kb/s

"LTT's official.."STOP. I promise you aren't LTT's official bagel eater or whatever. Trust me.

MASRY!!!

8mbps is 8 megabits not megabytes

Also damn 8mbps in Egypt is what a net cafe has for 20 system to play crossfire

And yes 8 is enough for 1080p

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

if it's 8 mbps it's fine, 800kbps, -_- not gonna work

8Megabits/s is around 800KBytes/s.

b for bits and B for Bytes.

Why not just try it out?

Yes it should be enough but I never got smooth playback when I had 8Mbps down.

If you want a more scientific answer, this youtube video at 1080p has a bit rate of about 4Mbps if you select 1080p:

So if you don't do anything else on the network, and we assume that you only get about 7Mbps stable despite paying for 8, you end up with 3 Mbps to spare.

It should be alright.
