Thoughts on this laptop and suggestions for others?

AlexHowe24

So I need a new laptop and I concluded on this one (The 6/750/i7 version). Thoughts? I thought it seemed pretty well-rounded for £500. Also how much would it set me back to look at getting a battery replacement as it seems to be pretty weak? http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-15-6-Inch-Notebook-i7-4510U-Integrated/dp/B00R6BRJMI/ref=psdc1_t3_B00HR88W9Y_B00R6BRJMI

If you can recommend a new laptop I've got a couple of minimums:

- Core i5 (i7 preferred)

- Up to £550

- 4GB RAM

- Any Windows OS (Will be replacing anyway)

- 14" or more (Preferably 15+)

- Thin (Up to an inch, give or take)

- 1600x900 or better

Dedicated GPU preferred but not necessary.

I'm open to different designs (2 in 1, etc) but I'd prefer the one I've provided as that's most likely how I'll be using it

I think that's just about it. Better battery life and lower running temperatures are a given. Thanks in advance for the help!

On the paper, this Lenovo Z50 seems like a good deal: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-15-6-inch-Notebook-i7-4510U-Bluetooth/dp/B00O8SDYJY/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1438817407&sr=1-1&keywords=Lenovo+Z50

I can't tell about the build quality of that one but usually Lenovos are great. Asus X -series has always been very cheap-like. They tend to have a lot of random hardware failures. I'd veer away from them or pay very little.
