I really hope it has samsung memory chips, or I will be sad :c

Nah just pic of the old Lightning. Yeah I really hope so too!

 

As for Duo Frozr not sure exactly what that it was supposed to be, could have very well been a new concept card they were working on. Kind of how EVGA has the Classified and then the KPE.

In benching I think the only way the lightning can come close is if they put Samsung VRAM on it.

 

The reason the KPE is topping all the benchmark charts right now is because of the Samsung VRAM, it doesn't cold-bug as easily as Hynix, and NO other 980 TI have Samsung VRAM right now, it's all hynix.  Samsung VRAM also scales better with volts :D

 

(not to mention the crazy amount of dipswitches, and adjustable V-DROOP on the card)

Also that 100% copper heatsink. hnnnggh
