Adblock and Web of Trust are the best virus prevention systems. Scanning once in a while with Malwarebytes isn't bad either. If you really want active protection Avast is the best antivirus I have used

It depends on what level of protection you're comfortable with and your security needs. For a normal user that's not doing any major business online generally a basic AV like Avast is enough +AdwCleaner/Malwarebytes every once and a while for good measure.

I don't understand why every AV now must have something we don't need

integrated Firewall (which most of time will conflict with internal firewall if you were using it)

integrated web filter (which filters any your internet activity)

integrated adblock (which btw didn't block any ads from their end)

and annoying pop ups says UPGRADE TO PRO TO HAVE FULL EXPERIENCE OF THIS POS.

I'm using ClamWin btw

it doesn't have all those crap I mention

but so far, it's not the best AV

I also have free malwarebytes on my system because it doesn't detect malware / adware.

My usual combo is version 1.6 of spybot for the "imunization" (no teatimer), malwarebytes for the scans and if the person is really malware prone I use Avira... it's a little anoying but it's pretty efective in extreme cases

Intuition and common sense ...

Also AdBlocker ....

Malwarebytes and Avast for regular scanning ...

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

Avira is nice but if you want the REALLY BEST security for free then use Avast. NEVER use Malwarebytes. It's got some bad flaws.
