AMD CCC 13.8 cant enable Crossfirex

GPU zed and everything recognizes two 7970s and in 13.6 i can run crossfire, but in 13.8 i select crossfire and press apply and all it does it change it back to disabled. Any help?

Did you use AMD Cleanup Utility to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones?

I used driverfusion and the uninstall, i will try that though, Im on windows 8 btw

Don't have crossfire on when you install.

You'll need to download the AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility from here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx, run it, restart your PC when it's complete, then install the 13.8 driver from here: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst13-8WINBetaDriver.aspx and restart your PC when it's complete.

It shouldn't make a difference.  Leave both of your cards plugged in but you can disable one of them if you want.

Yes I am using the 13.8 drivers and the driver should be the same on Windows 7 and 8 but I'm using Windows 7.

 

Run the AMD utilities first and see what happens after that.

Nice, remember to reboot when you've finished installing the 13.8 driver just to finish things off.

Please don't use AMD Uninstall Utility on Window 8, its not compatible yet and could bork your system.

Are you on Windows 8.1?
