I'm thinking about getting 12GB of RAM just to have some extra horsepower and I wanted to know if this was CL9 or not.

Check if you match other latencies 

It looks like an older stick than the one that would be on G.Skills site but if I buy it, it should just adjust them and as long as I don't lose performance, i'm happy,
