Fan running loud

Hello to all:)

I've just installed my brand new fan Akasa Piranha AK-FN072 (i got it for alot below price). I've installed it on the side(intake) to blow to GPU, plugged it into 4pin header, booted pc up and it started to be as loud as f***. I concluded that it is running loud because it is less than 2cm away from gpu and air hitting gpu cooler is making that noise (i unmouted it, hold it in hand and on 100% rpm it ran quiet).

Any ideas how to silence that?

Yeah too much airflow for little space to push air with. Might have to lower the rpm to compensate with the noise.

I'll do my best with speedfan to silence my pc. Gpu is idling at around 45-48°C so i guess at that temp fan could be off?

That shouldn't cause any loud noises. What you're hearing is likely vibration against the side panel or turbulence through the openings in the side panel. If it's the first problem, rubber isolating mounts can be a solution.

Finaly problem is solved. I don't know it that was the reason but it helped. First i changed basic rubber mounts that came with fan with anti vibration mounts from noctua and changed 4 pin extension with new one. Booted up and its running quiet. Than i reinstalled original mouts with new 4 pin extension and still quiet. So i guess that something is wrong with old extension.
