Hey guys!

i'm wondering if i need any extra fans for this build or are stock fans okay.

Intel Core i5-4690, 4x 3.50GHz

MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G, GeForce GTX 960, 4GB

Gigabyte GA-H97-HD3

Crucial Ballistix Sport DIMM Kit 8GB, DDR3-1600

ANTEC VP VP600P EC 600W ATX

Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB

And a used hard drive from my current computer.

Thanks

Well, not sure what temps you are aiming at but I have a very similar build and I went from stock fans to better fans and I could tell you that in the long run it's not going to make a tremendous amount of difference. However, if you care about sexiness and noise level, I definitely do recommend the evo 212 cpu cooler if you want something that will work a little better than stock and have quieter noise level. But again, I was running stock for a few days just fine. just put in the stock and once u have enough money, get a better fan and just replace it. (in my case, I did not take out my mobo or anything, I just slipped the new cpu fan in. But besides that I wouldn't worry too much about the stock fans for your case since graphics cards usually have fans installed in them anyways and motherboards usually run a lot cooler than cpus and gpus.

What is your case? That is the most important part for if you need more cooling. Also, is that a 4690 or 4690k? there is no real advantage for the 4690, so get the 4690k if haven't bought anything yet. That SSD is also one of the worst on the market, so you should get a different one.

As jewishdolphins sugested... I too have a CoolerMaster 212 Evo on my stock CPU (i7-4790)... It lowered my CPU temps from 80 ºC full load to 61ºC MAX.

My stock cooler was almost all the time at 1800 rpm while the 212 evo stays mostly on 600-800 rpm... very silent and very nice heat dissipation.
