Android on pc and is there any harm?

Go to solution Solved by BrinkGG,

Hello!

So i recently got a new laptop which has a touch screen so i thought why not put android on there.

Now, i'm not gonna sideload android because i plan to install it on a separate external harddrive but i wanna know, is there any harm that it could do to my computer?

I don't think there is a possibility that it can screw up my computer so bad that i can't use it anymore but hey, i'm a human and i can't get everything right.

So what do you guys think?

Thanks

Just make sure it doesn't mess with the internal HDD.

Nope, but it won't be a very stable experience.

Installing Android onto an x86 laptop isn't that easy. There is a project, called Android x86, that is working towards Android for x86 devices but I'm not sure if you can actually do much with it.

did it on my PC with zero issues

Maybe you should install one of these emulators:

Bluestack  => http://www.bluestacks.com/

AndyDroid => http://www.andyroid.net/

I don't want to run emulators because you then need to reserve ram and cpu juice for the host sytem and it's background applications, i don't think it would be a great experience.

I've not run it myself so I have no idea what you can actually do with it.

it was just like any other android device. I ran some benchmarks. it crashed a bunch but the crazy scores was funny.

You are right. Last time I tried it wasn't a favorable experience. :P
