I don't know about that specific model, but I'm personally looking to buy this card:

I'm not super knowledgeable in this area, but the card does look to be a decent card, if the reviews are anything to go off of.

Unless you have a 450MBPS Wi-Fi connection there is no need to go for something that high-end. I mean it's a fantastic card, but you need to consider your Wi-Fi speed.

For 37$ it's not a bad deal. If you go lower and save a couple dollars you may have to buy another if your internet speed increases.

If you have a newer, high-end router - with AC connection - you'll want a newer, AC-compatible wifi card. This one is only compatible up to N, which is no longer the fastest speed.

If you're on an older slower router, it will be fine.

I use that card and its excellent! I'm on the opposite side of the house from the router and I get 60/25 :D

I mean, without its specs that doesn't really answer anything. How long ago was it given to you?

Most likely it's just an N router, so that wifi card should be fine.
