Looking for Playtesters

Hi, My company is looking for a group of about 10 play-testers to critique a role-playing game that we have created, currently in Closed Alpha. My boss has asked me to find forums that pertain to video games and then interview interested members to find the best possible sample.

We need people who are willing to sign a contract that will prevent them from legally posting or providing any information about said game until embargo is lifted on December 1st.

The reason we are coming to this forum is that we believe that the best play-testers are potential buyers, and this forum has a community that is full of gamers. Our passion for games is unparalleled, and we want to get the best possible sample of gamers to test the our creation.

 

This is the information I am permitted to provide:

We are based in Australia, and we have backing from a small group of investors. Successful play-testers will be rewarded with a $100 gift voucher to JB-Hi-Fi if in Australia, or equivalent store if elsewhere.

We take inspiration from the following companies: Bethesda, BioWare, Ubisoft (Pre AC Unity), so if you are a fan of these companies please mention so.

 

If you are interested please leave a comment, with these things: Name, Age, Favourite games, Favourite genre and most recently completed game.

 

if you are selected for the short-list you will receive a message with further instructions.

 

Please not that we will only be selecting 10 people for this.

 

Open to all English speaking countries.

EDIT: We realized yesterday after finding our first tester that we actually also need your system specs. You need a computer with an AMD Radeon 7950/280/380 or better, or an Nvidia GTX 780/970 or better, along with a quad core 3rd gen intel processor or 6 core AMD FX processor. These won't be the final specifications, but we are in the process of optimising now, so the game is very demanding.

You also need a monitor that supports 1920x1080, as we haven't packaged the whole game engine in with the alpha to keep file size down, and you will be unable to play with resolutions lower than that. And lastly, you need to be able to download 35GB in under 2 days, this website should be helpful LINK.

And lastly, you need Windows 7/8/8.1 64 bit (As far as we know it won't work with windows 10, something to do with WDDM 2.0)

Hey, awesome looking game you got there. My name is Zachary Weldon, I am 19 years old and I play games like Skyrim, GTA V, Battlefield, CS:GO, Evolve and games like that. Favorite genre is FPS and most recent completed game is GTA V.

What would the required time needed to be devoted to this be ? I would only be able to spend max of 3 hours maybe 4 per day , just would like a notice so i dont sign up, and not be the best possible candidate.

I play any game my graphics card can handle(battle field, H1Z1, modded Minecraft, etc...) or ps3 games such as COD ,BF3, GTA V, ,Skyrim , and racing games.

Also i would like to pitch that i watch a lot of youtube on games i don't have and interested in, such as Arc survival , cs:go, and Terraria.

The most recent completed game would be.... GTA V on ps3,

Favorite genre is grindy games like Minecraft and Arc, but also love FPS like BF hardline, and i like COD Zombies.

I think this is Awesome and even if I'm not selected then i hope you the best in creating your game.

Why only English speaking countries? I'm from the Netherlands and would love to play test a game like this.

Probably so that they can communicate with people that speak english

That would be a terrible reason ;)

I believe my English skills are on such a level that other people can understand what I'm trying to say.

Because at this point we are not planning localisation prior to launch, and because it becomes harder for us to communicate with legal representatives to handle contracts. If you're interested though, leave all the required info and when we get around to localisation in 6 months we might contact you :)

Pity that you're excluding people who are not natively English speaking. Oh well, your loss.

We aren't, we are just planning that later. Overseas legal matters are bad enough when you can understand the lawyers haha.

Favourite games: Fallout 3, Halo 3, Spyro, Pokemon Blue, KotOR I and II

 

Favourite genre: Western-RPG's and FPS

 

Most recently completed game: FEAR, I have a huge Steam backlog that I'm slowly going through, just started the FEAR series..

I just completed Trine, it was a fantastic game.

Hi, i would like to participate in a closed alpha, i've never a playtester before, but i do know a lot about pc games, I've played roughly 850 games since i started gaming, and the genres that you presented sound really good to me. One question tho, is it going to be an indie game or more like a aaa title?

One question tho, is it going to be an indie game or more like a aaa title?

Name = Juan Cruz but my in-game nickname is masterp48.

Age= 15.

Favorite games = rpgs, fps and sandbox in general. (Particular titles: farenheit, csgo, skyrim, borderlands, battlefield, survival exploring games such as subnautica, salt or farsky, and a long list of etc)

Last game finished = the witcher 3
