Do you guys even know anything about computers? how do you know it's great? what if he is playing at 4k? or 720p? that not a great build then! what if he wants to play at 30fps? what about he he want to play on low settings? is that still a great build?

you dont make any sense this is probably the best he can do within his budget

No overclocking and highest resolution in the upcoming future is 1080p

Ahhhh then it looks like your set, the next possible upgrades can be another set of ram only if you need it or more storage because you will run out eventually

16gb is not needed for games

not for JUST games, but if you have a few browser tabs open, video playing on the side or some music you get past 8gb VERY quickly, my pc generally sits at about 5 gigs usage before opening a game and ends up well over the 50% mark most of the time Im using it.

30fps is completely playable.

It is. but why would anyone with i5 and R9 300 series would look build specially for 30fps? And if he would buy hardware for 30fps today, years later games wouldn't run 30 fps.

It looks like you just jumped on me without reading what OP wrote.

Windows has "virtual memory". Unless Windows is reporting long periods of memory utilization around 99%, you don't have to worry about how much memory is installed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
