I was just wondering "if" someone were to take apart the Xbox one and take the hard drive and put it into a PC would able to boot from the main os drive (Windows, OS X, linux." and then switch the boot drive and make i run the modified windows on the Xbox one, and Sony's ps4 OS. Granted that would have the use the disk drives from the consoles to play game. But would it be able to even boot or play games. By the way this is using a gaming pc.

This would be interesting. I can imagine both companies would have restrictions/limitations baked-in however. In the case of the PS3, its hard drive is encrypted, and it only boots signed software.

The Xbox One drive has a specific set of partitions, any changes to those and it'll reject it.
