Benchmarks for Gta 5

I have a 980 ti SC and I play at 2460x1080p. What kind of frame rates should I expect playing on an ultrawide? I currently get 40-60 with everything on very high and msaa off. Is this normal?

At 1080p? I'd assume you'd get a little more then that. GTA V isn't optimized very well. It's optimized good but it could be a lot better. You should get atleast a constant 60 or more

So you bought a 980Ti and you didn't check what kind of framerates you should get on your own resolution before you bought it.

erm the 980ti is a beast so you wouldnt expect to have to look... use your brain.

 

it can play every game at that res 60fps but some gta settings hammer the gpu.

i just watched a video and a guy was getting around 55fps.

 

gta v is not the best optimized game, granted its not the worst, but if you try something like battlefield 4 at that res it will run amazingly.

After the fix GTA V runs better but it still runs pretty bad on everything. In some parts of the city you can get some huge dips. Everything seems fine and that is expected, 40 is a tad low though but if you average 50-60 your A OK!

Just keeping this here as a I would say you should be getting 45-60 fps. GTA fps has a lot do with the time of day, as my rig can get 60+ at night, but then drop down to 35-50 during the day.

Ya this definitely sounds like what I have going on to. I get amazing framerates at night but during the day (especially in the grassy areas) I can get massive dips. As for battlefield it gets like 140fps completely maxed out lol. God damn gta. Nevertheless I'm gonna pick up a second card and go to 1440p Or 4k

Just turn down the settings until they fix it. Not every game will run maxed out. Try playing Arma III and tell me how that works out xD.

I don't know how to directly reply to comments but Ya CoolJ the temps are totally fine and I'm running 16gb of ram. It's an amazing build but I guess gta is just more demanding than I thought. It's still a huge upgrade from my old gtx 670 though hahaha

The only other games I have installed are bf4 and ac unity so any suggestions for a good performance test? (anything but witcher 3. Not a fan)

I do believe I have the current drivers. I am using a beta driver right now because the one previous literally made gta unplayable. I'm talking 11fps. With a 980ti.so Ya I got this beta one and was pleased to see the fps go up to 50's and 60's
