System weird after shutdown

I really have no idea I'm afraid, there's really not much to go on.

Sounds like its not shutting down and its just doing a deep sleep of some sort.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

There's not much else it does, not funny noises or anything. It just boots up for 3 seconds after shutdown before actually turning off. 

Ahhh... well my stock question is, do you have an overclock?

maybe record a video of this issue? because it isn't that clear what exactly is going on.

For example my computer fans run at max speed and hard drive turn on on the last 1-3 seconds after shutdown or sleep which kinda seems like as if the computer is booting when it shuts down.

Does it like turn off silent, then start up again or something?

mine just stays on then suddenly revs up at max speed and turns off

Fully maxed out early 2017 Dell XPS 15, GTX 1050 4GB, 7700HQ, 1TB nvme SSD, 32GB RAM, 4k display. 97Whr battery :x 
Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Nope. Would this problem most likely be power supply related? 

I really couldn't tell without like, testing tools and stuff. Check what your power button is assigned to in windows.

It says shutdown when the power button is pressed.

Well, I fear if I say to overlook it, I'm going to be blamed when the PSU miraculously fries all of the components. Best I can say is, contact the motherboard support and ask them if it might be caused by their motherboard, and then in the same fashion contact the case manufacturer and do the same.

My computer has done weirder stuff.. try updating your bios :/
