you could try it with a program like inputmapper (tough i think that is only for DS4 controllers?) 

anyway, you should be able to map the buttons on your controller to some keys on your keyboard then.

i tried to map the buttons for mw2 and it didnt do it properly -_- its annoying as hell.

I'm pretty sure DiRT 3 has controller support. It did for me.

Dirt 3 has native controller support, since you have a wireless controller you may not have set it up properly, does it work in other games?

Dirt 3 ABSOLUTELY has native controller support. I did not have to do ANY fiddling with settings. Just make sure that you have the controller plugged in (or connected if using wireless) BEFORE you launch the game. That is pretty standard for any game.

When in doubt, re-format.
