Video card choise

Hello, i am about to replace my old video card but i didn't decided which one to pick yet.

Usually i'm playing blizzard games, but who knows what i'm going to play in the near future so i would like to 

get a video card that is capable for running the latest games.

I have like 250-300$ to spend on it:

ASUS Radeon R7 370 STRIX OC GAMING 4GB DDR5 256-bit

 

or

GIGABYTE Radeon R9 280 OC WindForce 3X 3GB DDR5 384-bit

 

I would like some advice in picking the right one or another from this range of price.

the R9 280 will be better than the 370 by a decent amount. I'd say go for the 280.

i would agree to Stretch out the budget for the 390 BUT if not pick up a r9 290 for mid 200s  if adding to the budget is not possible it would still be much better than the other options with only being around 10% worse then the 390 and less vram.
