I need a controller for my PC

I need a controller for my PC, I want good value so I won't spend 5$ for 1% improvement. I will prbably have it all my life too.

 

Just for AC2 and eventually driving/piloting games.

 

I played with a ps3 controller a few years back and I dislike xbox contorler layout.

The 2 analog sticks must be on the same level. so My hands can maintain a symetrical position (overall).

 

If anyone has made a switch to the xbox controller then I welcome you to share your experience.

context: the movement engine behavior is not as friendly to keyboards as in AC1.

maybe steams new controller? I use a logitech 230 or something kinda like a cheap xbox controller with sticks in the same spot, as far as quality goes the ps3/4 and xbox are hard to beat

1) Why does that matter? All of them that is, if some are thats good enough.

2) Can you point me in a direction of a currently produced handheld controller by Logitech that isn't in that layout?

They are so cheap that you can buy one when the other wears out in 1-2 years (maybe longer). I've been using the same controller for 3 years with aftermarket joysticks.
