Hey,

 

I can't decide between these two motherboards, any advice will be appreciated:

 

Saberooth Z87 TUF series from Asus and the Z97-G45 from MSI

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

Ermmmm, it will work on Z97

Im not sure if the Sabertooth Z87 ships with an updated BIOS that can run the 4690k.

Im not sure if the Sabertooth Z87 ships with an updated BIOS that can run the 4690k.

i5 4690k will work on Z87 with the BIOS that come with the board and Z97 board as well.

Just pick one that is your taste, because both of them support i7 4790k CPU and overclocking.

Read reviews, match your color scheme, pick based off whatever odd reason you want.  Compatibility has been covered here so if they both have good reviews pick your fancy.  I would say MSI I've had great luck with their products!

If the Sabertooth needs a BIOS update you can do it with a flash drive.

Sabortooth would be better, as it would offer better features for the price. Not to mention that Z87 boards are cheap now.

You can update the bios from the USB flashback on the Z87 sabortooth.
