I'm currently trying to work out which GPU to get and this one I found seemed pretty impressive:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZPOBI0M/?tag=pcp0f-21

I basically need a card under £200 and will work for the foreseeable future, this seems to tick all of those boxes, what do you think?

CPU: FX-6300 GPU: Sapphire R9 380X MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB PSU: XFX XTR 550W CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus SSD: Samsung 840 Evo

Okay, what are you wanting to do with it?

It's a fine card and performs better than the GTX 960. However you might want to look at the 290/x as well.

Sig under construction.

You should go for an XFX card if you want to watercool/aftermarket cool later. My xfx r9 390x has the same layout as a reference 290x so waterblocks were easy to find.

Games and rendering graphics on Photoshop mainly, running two screens, one VGA (not sure on the resolution) and the other 1680x1050

Don't plan on adding anything extra, just want a card that works as it is

it looks black and red, which is a plus in my book.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Got it mainly because I have other blue things in my room so it fits the scheme

fair enough. as far as your criteria, that card seems to work well, even if it's the one that's letting you down with the red/black

But is there anything better for the price? And what is the 380 a rebrand of from the previous cards? Are they 290's?
