Switch a SD card from read only?

Hey everyone, so I have a sd card that's read only. is it possible to duplicate the data on it without losing it? thanks!

normally there is a physical switch to change it back to read/write. Just flick that switch.

There's 700$ worth of software on it, and says it can't be used in any other device. Just wanted to ask before I tried anything

why is it on a sd card and not backed up some where better lol
