1. Budget & Location
£800/$1200 if you are in the US suggesting parts for me or cheaper if my aim of 40 FPS on very high settings could be met. I live in the UK.

2. Aim
Gaming at around 40FPS on Max/Very \high Settings, School Work. I am looking to take this to uniand not have to do much with it in future, I would like this build to be small and fairly portable so mATX and miniATX builds only please not sure if I got those right but the smalller case build you know what I mean. I this build I will want an SSD boot drive to install Windows 7 on, I will need wifi and the mobo's with wifi built in look pretty sweet. Intel or AMD I don't mind. I would like a future proof CPU and GPU as I am not into updating parts unless they break. Anything else just ask.
3. Monitors
Just the one, slight possibility of a second in the future will need to come with the budget

4. Peripherals
OS and Moniter

5. Why are you upgrading?

My current system is useless at gaming

I tried to put together an MATX build with the OS and keyboard + mouse etc but it got to expensive to be decent however if you just want the machine with an OS here is a build

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1mmPZ

GPU can be changed for whatever you wish I tried to make it without an OS at first but it was still expensive MATX for that price would mean something like a low end i5 and a GTX 760 or something its quite hard.

If you can stretch your budget to £900, go with this

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1mmU2

Otherwise if you can't here is one for £800

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1mmS0

The one for £900 has a 7970 compared to the 7870.

And an aftermarket CPU cooler = much quieter

I also made this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1mmWU

Which still has the 7950 but a slightly lower clocked one and uses a slightly lower end SSD. It is £867

You forgot the monitor & SSD and picked the most expensive 7950 you could possibly buy :P

Couple of things please use the case i put in the thread and window 7 only i don't like the whole tablet look on my pc

You can just use the desktop in Windows 8. And even download a Windows 7 start menu for it. Windows 8 is much faster and uses resources more efficiently.

Also, are you sure about your case? The one you picked is Mini ITX and not mATX. Mini ITX motherboards are much more expensive and only have 1 PCI-E slot.

Yes I just checked, if you go with the case you picked which is Mini ITX you have to go Intel which is again even more expensive so you'll be getting a much lower end GPU.

The Core 1000 case I used in the builds I gave you is still a very small case but it supports mATX motherboards and not just Mini ITX...

You say you want 40fps on games, but you haven't really listed the games you play. Builds could range to trying to run Crysis 3 at that level to running League of Legends on max. Maybe list some games you play?

Battlefield is my favourite games and i suppose the next gen of games like gta v etc

I would not use those cases. Firstly going Intel would be more expensive and they feel cheap to me. Secondly the power usage for these setups these guys recommend will be around 400-430watt. I think you should go with a PSU that is at lease 550 watt. You always need to run another hard drive or use more usb powered devices. The case below is very small, even small enough to use as hand luggage on a plane, thats a main reason I bought it, and it still supports the full ATX Motherboard.

I can recommend these from personal experience.:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-266-LL - Very few things looks as good as a Lian Li Airbrushed Aluminium, and its way small.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-149-TT&emcs0=2&emcs1=Produktdetailseite&emcs2=CA-053-XG&emcs3=CA-149-TT  -- Modular cable management is very nice to have for cooling and looks.

This is the only site I ever used in the UK, i dont know if their prices are still good but they stock the widest range of high performance parts as far as I know.
