not a bad build.

instead, i would go with a motherboard that includes wifi. i added one for you. i would also get the gigabyte g1 gaming r9 380 as it has a nice backplate. it's also a great card. you don't need an 750w psu. i got you a 550w gold seasonic semi modular one at a great price. these are great psus in terms of quality. i added in a z97 mobo because it gives you the option of upgrading your cpu in the future.

with h97, you would have to upgrade the mobo to get an i7 or an i5 overclocked version. z97 also has some more features. i don't like adding in separate wifi cards because it adds another point of failure to the system. it's nice when the mobo has the wifi in it. changed the case to a corsair because i thought the nzxt one was ugly. got cheaper ram as well

You put a cpu that cannot be overclocked on the Z97 board. The psu was fine, leaves headroom for upgrades without having to switch it out. You made the build more expensive by getting that motherboard, just get the adapter and a cheaper motherboard. You say it makes one less faliure point, but the motherboard has now an extra point added to let it be wifi. Still the same amount of faliure points, now with more $$$.

With the upgrades and driver optimization's amd's made, it really isn't that much of an upgrade. If it was a 390, i'd would be saying otherwise. Besides, they made the 300 series more power efficent, so he/she is better off with the 380.

you have got to be kidding me . they arent even near in terms of performance. the 380 is a 285.

an extra 100w during gaming isnt gonna add up to much. unless you game 10hrs a day or something.

even if you game 10 hrs a day everyway for a month. the difference is just about 2.70usd a month in bills. im taking an average of 9ct/kWh

So I should get an R9 290?

yes, the R9 290 is a lot more powerful than the R9 380...it's really worth the price difference.
