Time to get out the good old rotary tool!

 

Unsure in regards to true solutions.. Time, effort, and patients I would say.

Have you tried lying the case on it's side and pushing the panel with both hands ? You might be able to get a better grip if you use a pair of rubber/latex gloves. Get someone to help you then you have something to push against.

 

If that doesn't work then a big sledgehammer will do the trick  :D

if the other side panel comes off, try removing it and twisting and warping the case. I have been able to loosen many stuck panels on cheap cases this way.
