The bass is decent. It cant hold up if you wanan go over 80% volume however, then you here the bass go fuzzy but your not gonna always push it that far.

What's your budget? Are you looking for PC speakers and do you have a dedicated soundcard.

I am looking for pc speakers and i do NOT have a dedicated soundcard. My budget is basicly as low as possible, but i still want a decent set of speakers, i just dont want to spend too much on it since i also have to get a new keyboard and monitor.

As evey one has said: Logitech Z323 or LS21. They offer a good sound experience at a low cost.

Will probably buy one of those, what are the differences between the two?

I only hadreal life experience with the Z323's, so I can't really make a honest comparison.

Sorry for being a noob, but they both have 2 speakers and the thing in the middle, is that also another speaker?

It's a subwoofer. It produces bass and makes the sound deeper

So i guess you are supposed to have 2 speakers on the side of your moniter and then the subwoofer in the middle? i dont think it can fit under my screen

yep.  You can try different locations on floor to get what you feel sounds better.

edit: for me, I like room corner.. sometime under desk (if desk has weak panels) you get rattles at higher volume.

Yes, below the table. You can also put at your side. It's really just to get the deep notes and it's undirectional in the way it delivers sound.

I have these: http://www.frys.com/product/6531523?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG , they sound like crap without EQ adjustment because they're tuned way too low (hear almost nothing but bass), but with a bit of EQ adjustment they sound really good with a good amount of bass. I picked them because they were the only speakers that had wood cases, at Fry's Electronics.

Edited: scratch that, I mean a lot of bass (room shaking if you're not careful)! :)
