850 Pro is not needed, EVO is just as good.

Dont get VelociRaptor drives, theyre kinda dumb as well

The 4790k isnt overkill, its a great CPU tho

The 980Ti isnt overkill either.

5960x/5820k/5930k are overkill mainly the 5960x though, the 980Ti isn't overkill, the Titan X is though; should have picked the 850 Evo not pro

A 980 ti that costs 300 dollars over the base model, almost a 50% increase in cost, at maybe 5-10% improvement in overclocking performance is definitely overkill.  That's if temp is actually the limiting factor in the cards overclock.

What specific power supply would you recommend for my build though?

EVGA G2. Currently the top of the line in power supplies

Well I'm still thinking of getting some sort of good Hard Drive, and don't know where to start to look for them. Anyone got any suggestions?

A WD Blue or Black drive are the best to get.

A hard drive is for storage, nothing more.  You don't need a fancy hard drive for storage, not even a fast one.  Just get a large hard drive at a good price, and do regular backups.  $89 gets you a quality 3tb hard drive.

Are you video editing and rendering? Is the video editing and rendering your source of income?
