Is the Game Zero with a fiio e6 a good combination for the money? Amazon is selling the Zero for 200 usd. Ive heard that the game series needs an amp to sound good, so im thinking about the e6. Is the game zero good? ive watched reviews on it, and it seems very nice. Is the e6 capable of driving it? Im looking at this because i need a microphone, getting the game zero is the same price as getting an m50x and a modmic.

Thanks

Sorry if this post is badly worded :P

Nope a E6 is for portable use, a motherboard would sound a lot better.

oh ok

You know how the game zero would sound on a realtek 898?

It's pretty subjective you should get the headset first, then check to see if it get's loud enough for you or if there's any hissing or problems with you're motherboard and if you do have any of those problems you could look at a external solution.

will these sound alright on a phone? Or is that a rare case when i would need an amp

They wouldn't be a high end product if you needed specific hardware to use it.

I wouldn't use them on a phone anyway, you'd look sorta ridiculous.

I've seen a review of it being low on audio bass if used on mobile devices. I think with the higher resistance it requires, it's best use for PC where it can crank enough amps.

Power doesn't affect frequency response, so whatever that reviewer's problem was, it wasn't amplification.
