So I am currently using a PPC (PowerPC) Mac mini as my home server, so I think it might be time for an upgrade.  All I use it for is hosting a small website, and afp/ftp files.  The main purpose of this file server is to back up all of my family's various devices, mainly apple products, and so really need afp for that.  The iPad and iPhones I have a way to back them up to ftp, but Time Machine on mac only supports AFP, as far as I can tell.  I would also like to run a team speak server, but it doesn't run on PPC.

So hears the plan:

I would like to spend as cheap as possible on a new server, hopefully under 200$, because I really don't need it for that much.  The problem I have is trying to find something that is cheap and will support time machine backups.  Any ideas on what to do?

Options I have considered:

-Used Newer Mac Mini

-Build my Own and find a program that will let me use it as time machine back up server (can't find anything for that tho)

I haven't thought of a good signature yet.
