New Monitor for gaming, low end games

Scratchy1215

Hello, its been awhile since ive been on but as ive recently wanted to move my ps4 to my room with my 1080p tv and get a gaming monitor for my pc, now is the time to find the one i want,

I mostly play league of legends currently and i might start playing WoW again, like 90% sure just because i miss my DK. I have a i5 4690k and a r9 280, and im currently on 1080 but now im looking towards 144hz 1ms response time 1440 or wait for 4k 144hz to come out, or maybe go for a ultrawide even, now as far as ive read i know ultrawide with league of legends works fine and somewhat better, but not sure on WoW.

Also my gpu is getting older so im thinking about a 380 espically for things like freesync (or a 970 for gsync im not really straight edge on gpus) but id like some recommendations if anyone could

I'm gonna get a (stupidly overkill) R9 390 for a 1080p monitor, I've heard that Vram is the thing to look for when going for a higher res display, meaning that if you want to play at 1080p 4Gb is enough to play most games without all 4Gb getting used. Otherwise if you want to play something like 1440p (like you want) you would want to look into something with more Vram, like my R9 390 (which has 8Gb of Vram).

As for ultra-wide I never looked into so I don't know, but some monitors to look into?

They are stupidly expensive for my taste though.
